The people behind Relative Choice™

We’re building something that has never existed before. That takes a certain kind of team – people who don’t just understand the problem intellectually, but who’ve felt it personally.

Meet Robin and Gordon.

An older lady baking with younger people - Relative Choice

Robin

President, Founder & Chief Connection Officer

(yes, that’s a lot of titles)

Robin knows what it’s like to long for connection, which is exactly why she created Relative Choice™. She’s the kind of person who, if she ever won the lottery, would be surrounded by dogs, constantly feeding people, and hosting the kind of family dinners that require stretch pants.

She also loves Broadway musicals – unfortunately for anyone within earshot. The fact that her voice can curdle milk from 50 feet away does not stop her. Left unsupervised, she’ll kill any plant entrusted to her care. And she firmly believes that golf is about as exciting as watching an avalanche, one rock at a time. Sorry, not sorry.

Robin - founder of Relative Choice

A few things you should know about Robin:

  • She would 100% adopt you if she could

  • Her profile picture is older than she’ll admit because she refuses to take a new one

  • She needs at least two cups of coffee before she’s worth talking to

  • If loving sushi, travel, and deep conversation is wrong, she doesn’t want to be right

Favorite thing about chosen family? That feeling when someone chooses you – not because they have to, but because they want to.

Gordon

Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel

(he’s the lawyer – he reads the fine print so the rest of us don’t have to)

Let’s get one thing straight – Gordon is not a tech guy. But in an alternate reality, he’d have been a high school teacher and baseball coach, because his love of kids and sports knows no bounds and he has the patience of a saint.

Gordon comes from an amazing, huge family and he’s still close with his mom, siblings, cousins, and son. But if life had gone his way, he’d have had an even bigger family – so instead he’s out here being the big brother, dad, and grandpa figure that everyone wishes they had.

A few things you should know about Gordon

  • He’s the guy who actually reads the Terms and Conditions before clicking I Agree

  • If it involves sports, old movies, or musical standards, Gordon knows more than your average search engine. Just don’t ask him to use one – he still thinks the internet is a fad

  • His homemade potato salad is legendary and absolutely unmatched

  • He’s basically been preparing for this his whole life – he just didn’t know it yet

Favorite thing about chosen family? That he gets to keep expanding his circle, welcoming more people into his life the way family should be.
